A two vehicle crash between a truck and a scooter has resulted in a male being sent to a trauma center, according to Peel Regional Police.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Orenda Rd. and West Dr. in Brampton at approximately 7:06 p.m., today (June 5).

Upon arrival, authorities found that a truck had collided with the scooter, resulting in significant damage and injury.

The injured man was provided with immediate medical attention on scene and was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The extent of his injuries is currently unknown.

All westbound lanes on Orenda Rd. and northbound lanes on West Dr. are temporarily closed to ensure the safety of both motorists and pedestrians.

Commuters are advised to take alternate routes and follow the instructions of traffic officials.
